Goathland is a fine centre for walkers and strollers. The walks vary in difficulty so no-one need be excluded.

North York Moors Steam Railway

The North York Moors Steam Railway, a short walk from Heatherdene, runs a regular service between Grosmont Goathland and Pickering from April to the new year, with many special events.
